Northwest Black Belt Association
NWBBA, located in Portland, Oregon, was founded by our late Grandmaster Tae Hong Choi and is currently headed by his son Grandmaster Hung Choi. The association is a committee of Black Belts throughout Oregon and Washington dedicated to raising the standards in teaching and improving the movement of Taekwondo and its tradition. Choi's Taekwondo is the oldest Taekwondo school in Portland, starting in 1973.
MABJJ - Marcelo Alonso Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Awarded a Fourth Degree Black Belt by the late Grand Master Carlson Gracie, and recently promoted to the Rank of Fifth Degree Black Belt by the IBJJF. Marcelo Alonso has more than Thirty Years Experience Training, Coaching, and Competing in Sport Jiu-Jitsu. The Seattle and Fife Academies along with our Affiliate Schools offer instruction in Sport Jiu-Jitsu, Submission Wrestling, & Mixed Martial Arts. Headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is the governing organization for the World Taekwondo Federation in America and representing the US-Olympic Organization.
World Taekwondo Federation
Headquartered in Seoul, Korea. This is the world's largest Taekwondo organization which governs 180 countries around the globe.
Ji Do Kwon
Jidokwan is one of the original nine schools of the modern Korean martial arts that became Taekwondo and was founded in what is now South Korea at the end of World War II. Its name translates as "School of Wisdom". The Jidokwan in Korea still exists today. It functions as a social fraternal order. Jidokwan supports and endorses the Kukkiwon method of Taekwondo, and supports the WTF. Original Taekwondo organization established March 6, 1946. Principals are knowledge, determination, and perseverance.
